HOW FASHION EFFECTS THE ECONOMY

Changes in fashion help to keep the manufacturers, distributors and retailers of clothing and footwear in business. It also provides work for advertisers, models and various others. The media benefit from the advertising revenue. In principle, one could wear one's clothes till they wear out. In fact, many people in the world are poor and have no alternative to this. The ones that do spend money on clothes are from the ages 17 to about 23. Women noticable show way more than men and spend about 2 times money on clothing than men do. In todays world the men and women shop about the same amount and spend from any where between $1000 to $10000. Depending on what you wear and what brand it is well vage in prices. Some may pay $20 dollars for jeans where other may pay $300. Clothing to some will give them a sertant status and to many thats what people go after the APPEARANCE

The Wants of Women(loOking nice and feeling beatiful)

"Beauty is the still birth of suffering, every woman knows that." It is easy to understand the social implications surrounding beauty because as a man with six sisters i am surrounded and influenced by it but it gives me the opportunity to speak of it from a woman's perspective. Although I would like to say that my mother told me that women chase beauty for their own pleasure, women do it because of the feeling of power they get when regarded as feeling and being beautiful. Ted Chiang confirmed my hypothesis, one of his interviewers Maria de Souza said, "For me, one of the things that attracts me to a guy is if he seems interested in me. It's like a feedback loop, you notice him looking at your, then he sees you looking at him, and things snowball from there." The "snowball effect" gives women a feeling that they can achieve anything now that they are regarded as beautiful. The power women attain, lets them gain respect in communities, they become well known and perceived as trustworthy. They also go on to use their beauty in positive way to enhance other women's experiences. my mother told me that she agree's that feeling beautiful is a powerful effect on your attitudes and habits, but it has to be in balance with reality.

Finding a Style That Fits you (FEMALES)!

Girls and teens want to look sharp and fashion forward. Fashion trends change every season, but there are certain basic items of girls clothes that everyone wants in their wardrobe. Key pieces can be combined to create many different looks. While denim jeans are a staple in most wardrobes, the style of jeans changes regularly. While low rise jeans with straight legs may have been popular in 2005, within a year or so a high waisted jean with wide legs may be the fashion. While each teen may choose her own style and not care about what is popular, the current trendy styles are what will be found in the stores. To know what is in fashion, either start shopping at your favorite local mall or read fashion magazines. Jeans are a great basic because they can be worn so many ways. For casual wear, add a t-shirt, sweater or plain shirt with sneakers or flat shoes. The same jeans can also be dressed up nicely with a fancy blouse or a camisole with a jacket and heels. Other key wardrobe pieces are tank tops, turtlenecks, khakis, shorts, slacks, skirts, sundresses and blazers. The styles and colors of these items will also change from season to season. Skirt lengths go up and down, with both a short skirt and a longer style usually in fashion at the same time. The quality of girls clothes makes less difference because styles change so quickly. Girls will tire of their clothes long before they wear out, so pick what you like that fits your budget and don't worry about durability. Even so, check the label for laundry instructions. Washable clothes are easier and cheaper to maintain than dry clean only.

ABOUT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi! My name is Miguel I attend Murry Bergtraum High for Business and Carriers. As a student in Mr. Elfrank U.S. government class I have learn a wonder of things. Things that I learned because of him made me open my eyes to other things in the world. Today we live in a crazy world and in a country where the government may lie to use because they feel that it is better for our own good. Well in the writing be low I will not and have provide you links if you like and want to further your interest in the certain topic.

As a New Yorker growing up in the big city has its advantages. We tend to see people dress differently all the time. Where and how they dress is a way of them expressing themselves. Fashion is not all that makes a person what they are about an; how they carry themselves and the way a person dresses can be a deadly combinations to some.

In today’s world there is so much money out there it is just amazing.. The fashion industry is a multibillion dollar business and I will like to tell people about some of the things we may or may not know about it. A business where people can be paid thousands of dollars for having their face on a billboard, and where supermodels can get paid millions of dollars a year for walking down a couple of runways and taking a tons of pictures like if its hard.

WHAT ABOUT THE WORKERS

The fashion industry is a big time business with tons of money that comes in each year you would be amazed.

For example Michael Jordan made more money on his 1992 deal with Nike than about 30,000 of the entire work force in Indonesia who make Nike shoes full time(Jordan made 20 million on that deal). 30,000 people that Jordan made more than is pretty incredible being that MJ is only one person. In 1992 they made about only 19 million pair of shoes.

As we know Nike is a big business and they are also the 77th biggest in the USA and 167th in the world. Last year they booked in a staggering 553 million dollars off of their workers I wonder what the workers them self got out of that profit?

Does anyone know why Disney makes soooo muuuccchhh MONEY! Well not only do kids all over the world love their cartoons, but the people who drew them sign away all their rights on the design to the Disney Corporation with their employment contract. ONLY if they knew how much money is being made off of them. One person who did not sign off their rights was someone by the name Michael Eisner's. See now Michael Eisner's makes about 100,000 an hour for his work (to bad for those other guys who signed their rights away.)gets paid as much in one hour as 325,000 Disney workers would earn. The workers in Haiti are the ones who make the Pocahontas, Lion King and Hunchback of Notre Dame T-shirts and pajamas and sew the ears on Mickey Mouse toys. At the N.S. Mart, L.V. Myles and Classic Apparel factories in Haiti Disney workers are trying to bring up a family on a minimum wage of 28 cents an hour.
